There’s been lots of discussion about nation-building projects to help protect us from Trump’s tariffs. Political leaders talk about building infrastructure to help businesses grow the economy. They’re talking about expanding ports, more mines, building tunnels under the 401 and building new gas and oil pipelines. This is great news for the companies promoting these projects.
But will these projects directly help Canadians where they live? Will they make life more affordable, help create housing people can afford, prepare our neigbhourhoods for an uncertain climate future and secure our water and food?
